Who is Psalm 72?
The heartbeat behind Psalm 72 is making Jesus Christ known through power, love, deliverance and unity. Psalm 72 is built to reach into the hearts of the lost in any community through a replicable evangelistic leadership structure. We do not strive to create or plant a church, rather, we are called to build The Church. God made it very clear to us not to leave people with just an experience with Him. The experience in itself is great but without community and a relationship with Him...that’s all it is...another experience. That is why our God given vision builds structure and creates an atmosphere that is sustainable and flexible in how people plug into your community.
About Us
The founders of Psalm 72, Christian and Jessica Searer, are excited about what the Lord is doing and how it is essential the body of Christ comes together. There are many avenues to achieve this and one of those avenues is through evangelistic events linked with discipleship. Their nonprofit was birthed in May of 23' and has been eager to run since. Recently they have been doing trial run events and working with kingdom individuals to grow and mature.
Before Psalm 72 was a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) nonprofit organization…before it was even Psalm 72…it was a collective vision. Christian and Jess both received a vision from the Lord that mirrored other kingdom minded individuals. The vision was simple: get sound equipment, gather up instruments and microphones, set up a grill, pitch a prayer tent, share the gospel and worship in public places like parks and fields.
Psalm 72 is built to reach into the hearts of the lost in any community. Leadership in Psalm 72 will work closely with a champion from any given church and work to create a small group surrounding the event. Psalm 72 DOES NOT want to leave people with only an experience. Therefore, the champion and their team will be front and center the day of the event to help usher people into a Christ centered community.
Jesus is contagious…we just need to give Him room and a space to freely walk among His people. If towns, mountains, and fields worked for Jesus…they’ll work for us too.
Together we can reach the lost. Together we can unify the body. Together we can spark revival.
